Acropolis Museum

10 Years Acropolis Museum

A dialogue between the museum’s architecture and the strong sunlight of the Attic sky is embodied in the design of the annual report for the 10 years of the Acropolis Museum.

Typography plays in two layers to facilitate the bilingual use while the monuments become deliberealty the heroes,  ocusing the reader’s attention to the extraordinary works of art, like museum’s design does for its visitors.

Treasures From the Shanghai Museum

The “Treasures from the Museum of Shanghai” exhibition takes place on the occasion of the cooperation memorandum signed between the 2 museums, through cultural exchange.

The exhibition catalogue communicates the uniqueness of the exhibits through a character welcoming Chinese art to the museum and through a design touching on eastern civilization, and paying its respects to our guests from China.

Annual Reports

From 2015 to 2021, the annual reports of the Acropolis Museum were designed with the intention of moving beyond the traditional, text-heavy format often associated with institutional publications.

Concise sections with key facts, figures, and updates were presented through the booklets. These informational inserts are distributed between larger, visually focused spreads that highlight the architecture of the museum, its exhibitions, and the atmosphere of its spaces through photography.

Creates a rhythm between information and imagery. Readers can engage with the data in clear, accessible moments, while the visual pages provide pauses that celebrate the museum itself. The result is a publication that communicates the museum’s activities and achievements while also reflecting the aesthetic identity and cultural significance of the institution.

Restaurant Menu

Designing the menus for the restaurant of the Acropolis Museum required, above all, our respect for this location and for what it represents.

Information was imprinted in an understated design and we aimed for its easy use by the visitor. The color of the three catalogs was uniform until now, so it was replaced by three different colors. The color choice was dictated by the hour when the catalogs are being used (morning, noon, evening). The perforated representation of the temple’s ground plan on the catalog cover discreetly alludes to the monument.

Shop

Our proposal on the identity of the Acropolis Museum Shop should communicate 2 elements. The space’s importance, as well as is commercial identity.

Patterns emanating from the initial works of art exhibited in the Museum create compositions which are inspired by ancient sculptures.

They are expressed through a modern design approach, in terms of typography as well as colors. We combine tradition and historicity with modern expression.
